The property is really quite beautiful and done up nicely for Christmas.
We came in for a wine and bites experience in the morning and it was relatively empty for the first 90 minutes. They were kind enough to let us hang out for another hour or so before they needed the specific table we were at for another reservation.
The wine selection was really quite nice. I typically don’t like my wine dry, but even the drier wines were delicious. The bite pairings were absolutely amazing too, and they were able to accommodate for my vegetarian diet too.
Our server was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience.
The only bummer is the cost here. For the tiny little bites and wines, it came out to be about $173 for 2 of us! Probably saving this for special occasions in the future!
This may have been the best lunch of my life! A friend of mine and I booked the Seasonal Wine and Food Experience last Monday, and we ended up having a private 6-course paired food experience for 2! (This is not normal; we just got lucky... but it doesn't hurt to book on a Monday.)
Before lunch, we were given a short tour, and we learned about the history of the winery, the grape varietals they grow, and a bit about their winemaking philosophy.
After the tour, we were seated in our own private room, and we were served an exquisite lunch. It was easily worth 2-3x what we paid for it. (You'll see from the photos). I had never tasted Ram's Gate wines before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but they were all delicious and perfectly paired with each dish.
I don't typically expect a winery to have great food AND great wine, but Ram's Gate is a rare exception. Their chef is truly outstanding! I'll definitely be back!
We went here on a Saturday afternoon and found the facility very nice and cozy. The grounds were immaculately kept and beautifully landscaped. Our somm was friendly, passionate and knew her wines. But honestly I think our biggest issue was the wines were simply beyond our pallet. This made it seem a bit over priced. The selections were very dry and very mineral tasting. which I normally like. At any rate there were two of us and I think it came out about $150 just for a tasting. Food offerings were available but outrageously priced.
We wont be going back.

The tasting we had with GUS was phenomenal. My man killed it with the recommendations and explanations of the wine and cheese we ordered. He created a personalized tasting for us based on what we like. It was a beautiful property. We're still talking about it... We brought home 3 bottles.
Our visit to Ram's Gate Winery went very smoothly from booking on Tock, arriving early for the first group of tastings on a beautiful day. We were promptly seated on the patio on the side overlooking the vineyards and it was lovely. The person who helped us with our tasting was knowledgeable and personable. We did also order the charcuterie plate since it was first thing in the morning and it was very nice. The wines were good, better than average but not the best we've had from the region. Overall though, the experience was terrific and the tasting room is stunning. It would seem that going in the shoulder or high seasons are best since they have their best staff then.
Ram’s Gate is a beautiful place to crush amazing wines. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly. We are 100% coming back here again. Wish they shipped to New Jersey.
Really loved our tasting guide Aram Roubinian. Such a good experience and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend to anybody!!!
Really excellent vineyard for the price point of their tasting. Our wine expert, Sophia, was knowledgeable about the wines, and was very friendly. The cheese and snack board was top notch too. The decor gives off modern upscale barnyard vibes, and the seating arrangements keep it quiet and tranquil. Definitely a great place to start or end the day!
